You may have seen the veggie stamping of roses before. Vegetable stamping is a great technique to create beautiful patterns on paper just in few minutes. You can use many other vegetables too for this technique like lady fingers or potatoes cut in different shapes. For stamping you can either use stamp ink pad or water colors whatever is easy for you to use. This can be a great craft activity for kids too to enjoy. First, let’s see the basic veggie stamping on papers.
Materials:
- Paper towel
- Large stamp pad
- Cards, stationery
Directions:
Cut off stem end with a sharp knife, and stand stem on a paper towel, cut-side down, for 5 minutes to dry.
Press cut side onto a large stamp pad, then onto cards, stationery, and more, blotting on paper towel between presses. Vary stamp shapes with other vegetables, such as romaine lettuce stems or even brussels sprouts cut in half.
